U.S. Border Patrol Deports Man Claiming U.S. Citizenship, Sparking Controversy
Brian Morales, a man claiming U.S. citizenship, was deported to Mexico by U.S. Border Patrol agents following a traffic stop in Texas. Morales, who asserts he was born in Denver, was detained near Fredericksburg, Texas, and deported on April 7. Despite his claims and willingness to provide documentation, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated that Morales, identified as Bryan Jose Morales-Garcia, admitted to being a Mexican national. The incident has drawn criticism, with some arguing that U.S. citizens are being wrongfully targeted in immigration enforcement. Advocacy groups are pushing for Morales' return and accountability for the incident.
