Smithsonian Exhibit to Showcase Rural Innovation in Vermont and New Hampshire
A traveling Smithsonian exhibit titled 'Spark! Places of Innovation' is set to visit Vermont and New Hampshire starting in June 2026. The exhibit will be hosted in three communities in each state, with each location displaying the exhibit for six weeks. The initiative is a collaboration between Vermont Humanities, New Hampshire Humanities, and the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street program. The exhibit will feature photographs, interactive displays, objects, videos, and digital stories, highlighting the leaders, challenges, successes, and future of innovation in each town. The exhibition aims to serve as a catalyst for local programming in the humanities, sciences, and arts.
