A house fire on Mesaba Avenue in Duluth, Minnesota, resulted in a total loss of the single-family residence. Firefighters were the first to report the blaze on Tuesday at approximately 12:44 p.m., observing visible flames and smoke from their downtown headquarters. The house, located in the 200 block of Mesaba Avenue, was vacant, and no residents were affected. Upon arrival, crews found the structure engulfed in fire, with flames emanating from both levels of the front side of the home. The front porch collapsed shortly after responders arrived, preventing entry due to unsafe conditions. Trees on the property were also ablaze, and smoke was visible for several miles. The incident is currently under investigation by the Duluth Fire Marshal’s office.
