Atlanta Police Investigate Fatal Shooting of 22-Year-Old Woman at Westside Court Apartments
Atlanta police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old woman, Erika Wingo, at the Westside Court Apartments in northwest Atlanta. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning, with officers responding around 2:15 AM. According to Atlanta News First, Wingo was with a man at the time of the shooting, who subsequently drove her to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she later died from her injuries. The police investigation is focusing on two scenes: the apartment complex and the vehicle outside the hospital. Authorities found drug paraphernalia inside the apartment, and they do not believe Wingo or the driver resided there. A neighbor reported that bullets penetrated his unit. The driver is cooperating with the investigation, but police have not yet named any suspects.
