Mother Supports Deportation of Suspect in Fatal Car Crash Involving Pregnant Teen
The mother of Ashlee Holmes, a pregnant teenager killed in a high-speed car crash, has expressed support for the deportation of Tarsem Singh, the man charged in connection with her daughter's death. Singh, an Indian national, is facing multiple felony charges, including involuntary manslaughter and aggravated vehicular homicide. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged a detainer against Singh, who entered the U.S. illegally in 2017. The crash occurred during a high-speed pursuit initiated by law enforcement, resulting in the deaths of Holmes and her unborn child. Singh's legal proceedings are ongoing, with a jury trial scheduled for August.
