Southeast Tech's Industry Partnerships Enhance Workforce Readiness
Southeast Technical College is strengthening its role in workforce development through strategic partnerships with regional businesses. The college's NEXT Comprehensive Campaign has attracted support from companies like DGR Engineering, Grand Prairie Foods, and Marmen Energy. These partnerships are designed to ensure that students receive practical, career-focused education that aligns with industry needs. DGR Engineering, for instance, employs nearly 30 Southeast Tech alumni and emphasizes the importance of a steady pipeline of skilled graduates. Similarly, Grand Prairie Foods has utilized the Build Dakota program to invest in students, which has proven beneficial in securing well-prepared employees. The collaboration between Southeast Tech and these businesses is not just transactional; it fosters a lifelong connection that benefits both students and the community.
