Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman Secures $675,000 for New Jersey Police to Combat Online Child Exploitation
Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman has announced the allocation of $675,000 in federal funding to the New Jersey State Police's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. This funding, obtained through the Community Project Funding program, is intended to enhance the task force's capabilities in identifying and prosecuting online predators targeting children. The funds will be used to acquire new hardware and digital forensic software, which are crucial for investigating online child exploitation and trafficking. The task force, which handled over 35,000 cyber tips and made 404 arrests in 2025, will benefit from these technological upgrades to address the increasing sophistication of cyber crimes against children.
