Stellantis Recalls Over 1.3 Million Ram Trucks Due to Seatbelt Anchor Issue
Stellantis, formerly known as FCA US, has announced a recall of approximately 1.3 million Ram 1500 pickup trucks in the United States. The recall affects model years 2019 to 2026 and is due to a potential issue with the second-row center and/or driver side seatbelt buckle anchor. The company stated that the seatbelt buckle anchor may not be properly attached to the vehicle body structure, which could compromise the seatbelt system's performance in a collision, increasing the risk of injury to occupants. Stellantis plans to notify affected vehicle owners to schedule an inspection and, if necessary, repair the seatbelt buckle anchor at no cost. The recall also extends to additional vehicles in Canada, Mexico, and other international markets.
