Pew Survey Reveals Decline in Global Perception of Israel and Netanyahu
A recent Pew Research Center survey indicates a significant decline in Israel's global image and confidence in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The survey, which included 44,657 respondents across 36 countries, found that 67% of adults hold an unfavorable view of Israel, while only 25% view the country favorably. This decline is noted even among Israel's traditional allies, with negative perceptions increasing in countries like South Korea, Germany, and Argentina. In the United States, unfavorable views of Israel rose by 7 percentage points compared to the previous year. The survey also highlights a generational divide, with younger respondents expressing more negative views. Additionally, ideological differences are evident, particularly in Western democracies, where liberals are more likely to hold unfavorable views of Israel compared to conservatives.
