UC Berkeley Graduate Programs Achieve Top Rankings in U.S. News Report
UC Berkeley has once again demonstrated its academic prowess by securing top positions in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings for graduate programs. Released on April 7, 2026, the rankings evaluated thousands of programs across various disciplines nationwide. Berkeley's College of Engineering excelled, tying for top ranks in civil, computer, and electrical engineering, and securing the number one spot in environmental engineering. The Haas School of Business's part-time MBA program also tied for the top position. Additionally, the Goldman School of Public Policy's public policy analysis program was rated number one. Berkeley's chemistry program was recognized as the best in its category, marking a significant achievement as U.S. News ranked several science Ph.D. programs for the first time in recent years. Overall, more than 50 Berkeley programs landed in the top 25, with over 40 programs earning a spot in the top 10.
