Arizona Attorney General Leads Multi-State Lawsuit Against Trump Tariffs
Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes has announced a lawsuit co-led by 25 states to block President Trump's latest global tariffs, which are viewed as an illegal tax impacting small businesses and increasing grocery prices. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. Court of International Trade, challenges the administration's use of Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 to impose tariffs, arguing that it lacks legal authority. This is the third attempt by Mayes and her counterparts to contest the tariff agenda, with previous efforts resulting in court rulings against the administration.
