Former Detective Mark Fuhrman, Known for Role in O.J. Simpson Trial, Dies at 74
Mark Fuhrman, a former Los Angeles police detective, has passed away at the age of 74. Fuhrman gained notoriety during the O.J. Simpson murder trial in the 1990s, where he was a key figure due to his involvement in the investigation of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. His credibility was severely challenged during the trial when it was revealed that he had lied under oath about using racial slurs, which significantly impacted the trial's outcome. Fuhrman was later convicted of perjury. After retiring from the police force, he moved to Idaho, where he lived on a farm and became a commentator and author. His death was confirmed by the Kootenai County coroner, though the cause of death was not disclosed.
