Staten Island Mother Dana Foley Dies in Suspected Murder-Suicide, Community Mourns Loss
Dana Foley, a 39-year-old mother from Staten Island, was found fatally shot in a suspected murder-suicide last week. Authorities discovered Foley with a gunshot wound to the torso inside a home on Garth Court. Her boyfriend, Dakota Suckstorff, 27, who resided at the home, was found with a gunshot wound to the head and later died at the hospital. Law enforcement sources reported that a gun was recovered near Suckstorff's hand at the scene. Foley, who lived in the Sunnyside neighborhood, was described by loved ones in an online fundraiser as a devoted mother whose life revolved around her young son, Lennon. The community, including friends from her son's soccer team and her former employer, The Original Goodfella's Brick Oven Pizza, expressed profound grief over her passing.
