Uttar Pradesh Government Withdraws Legal Cases Against Tharu Community, Promotes Self-Reliance
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the withdrawal of legal cases against the Tharu community, a group historically known for their bravery and struggle for rights. During a speech at Chandan Chowki, Adityanath emphasized his administration's dedication to fostering self-reliance and respect for the Tharu people, who have faced neglect and exploitation in the past. The Chief Minister distributed land ownership records to thousands of Tharu families, marking a significant shift from historical oppression to empowerment. Additionally, Adityanath inaugurated over 314 development projects valued at Rs 817 crore, aimed at transforming the community's future through economic independence and self-respect.
