U.S. Rep. Lori Trahan Secures Over $2 Million in Federal Funding for 3rd District Community Colleges
U.S. Rep. Lori Trahan has announced that more than $2 million in federal funding will be allocated to three community colleges within the 3rd Congressional District. This funding, totaling $2,023,573, is channeled through various Department of Education programs designed to support first-generation, low-income, and nontraditional students in their pursuit of higher education. Mount Wachusett Community College will receive $1,158,572 to bolster its Student Support Services Program, Talent Search Program, and Educational Opportunity Centers Program. Middlesex Community College is set to receive $411,936 for its Talent Search Program, which has been assisting students at Lowell High School and two Lowell middle schools since 1989.
