New Stanton, Pennsylvania Residents Frustrated by Recurring Power Outages
Residents of New Stanton, Pennsylvania, particularly in the growing Broadview Estates neighborhood, are expressing significant frustration over recurring power outages, with some experiencing disruptions multiple times a month. Rachel Argenta, a resident, reported losing power about six times in nine weeks, often due to minor weather conditions like light rain or even just fog. Another resident, James Jakubowski, who works from home, stated that the constant on-and-off power has caused issues with his work and necessitated the purchase of battery backups and generators. New Stanton Borough Council President Cory Thoma initiated an online survey, which received 45 responses indicating an average of 4 to 10 outages per month, lasting from less than an hour to six hours.
