Congressman Morgan Griffith Attends Ag Day Event in Buchanan County
U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) recently attended the fourth annual Family Ag Day event in Buchanan County, Virginia. The event, held at the Grundy Community Center movie theater parking lot, proceeded despite cloudy skies and wet weather. Organized by the Big Sandy Soil and Water Conservation District, Family Ag Day offered various activities for attendees, including opportunities to see and interact with farm animals, enjoy free refreshments, participate in games, and engage in hands-on activities. Children at the event rode miniature tractors, had their faces painted, searched for prizes in a tub of plastic balls, and even tried milking a wooden cow. Livestock such as turkeys and rabbits were present, allowing families a closer look at farm life.
