Bullet Damages Minneapolis Condo Near Stone Arch Bridge, Raising Safety Concerns
A bullet struck a Minneapolis condo early Saturday morning, shattering a window and impacting the resident's sense of safety. The incident occurred near the Stone Arch Bridge, an area that Minneapolis City Council member Michael Rainville notes is frequently occupied by large gatherings of young people, sometimes numbering in the hundreds, particularly on weekends. Security camera footage reportedly captured the moment the shot was fired. Megan Stuart, the condo owner, expressed significant concern for her safety, highlighting that the bullet narrowly missed her sleeping area. She is advocating for increased security measures, such as more cameras, lighting, and patrols, to address the criminal activity she believes is fueled by these late-night gatherings. Stuart has filed a police report, and the Minneapolis Police Department is investigating the incident.
