Vietnamese Lawmakers Advocate for Telecom Infrastructure Data Sharing Reforms
Vietnamese lawmakers are discussing amendments to several laws, including those on radio frequencies, telecommunications, electronic transactions, and technology transfer. The proposed changes aim to improve data sharing between telecommunications enterprises and state management agencies. Deputy Le Thanh Dong highlighted the lack of a clear legal basis for data sharing, which complicates state management, especially during emergencies like storms and floods. The draft law also proposes cutting and simplifying administrative procedures and investment conditions, promoting decentralization, and enhancing management mechanisms. Deputy Nguyen Thi Viet Nga praised the draft for its focus on reducing compliance costs and shifting towards post-licensing inspections.
