Herbert Hoover Museum Reopens After $20 Million Renovation
The Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum in West Branch, Iowa, is set to reopen following a significant renovation costing $20 million. The museum, dedicated to the life and presidency of Herbert Hoover, the 31st President of the United States, has undergone its first major renovation in over 30 years. The project, which began in January 2025, has added approximately 2,500 square feet to the museum, featuring modernized and interactive galleries. These new exhibits aim to enhance the visitor experience by showcasing the life and presidency of Hoover and his wife, Lou Henry. The renovation was largely funded by donations, with about half of the contributors being from Iowa. The grand reopening will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and visitors will have free access to the renovated galleries on the opening day.
