Chiang Mai Chamber of Commerce Unveils Five-Year Strategy to Become Global Longevity and Wellness Destination
Officials in Chiang Mai, Thailand, led by the Chiang Mai Chamber of Commerce, have announced a five-year strategy (2027-2031) to transform the city into a global hub for longevity and wellness. This initiative aims to generate up to 150 billion Thai Baht (approximately US$4.7 billion) in revenue from foreign visitors by 2031. The plan was introduced by Akom Suwannakantha, Vice President of the Chiang Mai Chamber of Commerce, during the announcement of the upcoming Chiang Mai Longevity Summit 2026. The strategy is built around five core pillars: longevity food, herbal medicine and cosmeceuticals, medical services, mindfulness and mental well-being, and marketing powered by digital technology and AI.
