A sophomore from Mercer Island High School, Eliot Abramson, tragically passed away after being struck by a lacrosse ball during a recruiting showcase. The incident occurred at Islander Stadium, where Abramson was hit in the back of the neck, leading to critical injuries. Despite efforts by a firefighter to keep his heart beating and subsequent medical attention at Harborview Medical Center, his injuries were too severe for survival.
