Lilian Gandelman Advocates for Disability Awareness in Israel
Lilian Gandelman, a Brazilian lawyer and amputee, has made aliyah to Israel, where she is on a mission to educate and change attitudes towards people with disabilities. Despite facing challenges due to her physical condition, Gandelman has embraced life in Tel Aviv, advocating for better training and awareness in public spaces. Her journey began with a childhood cancer diagnosis, leading to multiple surgeries and eventually the amputation of her leg. Gandelman has worked in various law firms and pursued a master's degree in environmental law, contributing to infrastructure projects in the oil and gas industry. Her decision to move to Israel was driven by a desire for a new chapter, despite never having visited the country before.
