Supreme Court Approval Rating Drops to Record Low Amid Republican Discontent
The approval rating of the U.S. Supreme Court has reached a record low, with only 33% of Americans expressing approval of its performance, according to a recent Gallup poll. This marks a significant decline from the previous low of 39% in July 2025. The drop in approval is particularly pronounced among Republicans, whose support has fallen from 79% to 58%. The decline is attributed to recent court rulings that were unfavorable to the Trump administration, including decisions on tariffs and birthright citizenship. Despite some rulings that favored President Trump, such as allowing the firing of members of independent government agencies, the overall perception of the court has been negatively impacted.
