Abandoned Mulholland Drive Mansion Becomes Party Hub and Wildfire Risk, Angering Neighbors
An abandoned mansion located at 7711 Mulholland Drive in Los Angeles has become a significant nuisance and safety concern for its wealthy neighbors. The unfinished property, valued at over $1.47 million, has been taken over by squatters and trespassers who use it as a late-night party venue. Residents report frequent gatherings, graffiti, beer cans, and drug use on the premises. The mansion, which was last sold in 2022, lacks essential amenities like a kitchen, sewer connection, bathroom, and driveway. Its current owner, Walking Media Inc., has reportedly been unresponsive to neighbor complaints and is delinquent on property taxes. The situation has escalated to the point where the city's Department of Building and Safety issued an order on August 28, requiring the owner to clean and secure the site by September 7.
