Community Vigil in Vallejo-Benicia Calls for Justice for ICE Shooting Victims
Vallejo-Benicia Indivisible, in collaboration with Diaz & Loera Centro Latino, is organizing a community vigil to honor Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and Johan Sebastian Guerrero, who were fatally shot by ICE agents. The vigil, scheduled for August 1, aims to remember these individuals and demand justice. Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was killed in Houston, Texas, while Johan Sebastian Guerrero was shot in Biddeford, Maine. The event will call for independent investigations into these incidents, protection for witnesses, an end to local ICE collaboration, and congressional action for accountability. The vigil invites community members, faith leaders, and families to join in solidarity.
