Dodge County Students Awarded Scholarships for Agricultural Careers
Two students from Dodge County, Owen Hemling and Oscar Stowell, have been awarded $1,000 scholarships by the Dodge County Master Gardener Association. These scholarships are intended to support their educational pursuits in fields related to horticulture and agriculture. Hemling, a student at Beaver Dam High School, plans to study environmental engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has been involved in various activities, including robotics, music, and sports, and operates his own poultry business. Stowell, from Waupun High School, will attend the University of Wisconsin–River Falls to study agricultural education and ag business. He is the president of his FFA chapter and runs a beekeeping business. The scholarships are part of an annual initiative by the association to encourage careers in plant science and agriculture.
