Nvidia Establishes AI Lab in Israel to Advance Drug Discovery and Medical Breakthroughs
Nvidia has launched a new artificial intelligence (AI) research group in Israel, named Applied AI Architecture, with the goal of accelerating medical and scientific discoveries, particularly in drug development. This initiative, led by Nvidia Chief Technology Officer Michael Kagan, operates from the company's Israeli development center as part of its global CTO office. The team currently comprises several researchers, with plans to recruit dozens more over the next year. Dr. Nati Daniel, who holds a doctorate in AI from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, heads the new unit. The lab's mandate extends beyond immediate commercial products, focusing on long-term research into how AI can drive scientific and medical breakthroughs.
