Albertsons Recalls Salad Items Due to Salmonella Risk from Jalapeños
Albertsons Companies has issued a voluntary recall of two salad items due to potential Salmonella contamination linked to jalapeños. The affected products, Roasted Corn Maque Choux Salad and Ready Meals Roasted Corn Maque Choux Salad, were sold in Albertsons, Randalls, and Tom Thumb stores across Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. The recall is a result of a supplier-initiated recall by Taylor Farms, which provided the jalapeños. Salmonella can cause severe health issues, particularly in vulnerable populations such as young children and the elderly. Consumers who purchased these salads are advised to dispose of them or return them for a refund.
