Raquel da Cunha Recuero Appointed to International Panel on the Information Environment Ethics Committee
Raquel da Cunha Recuero has been appointed as a member of the Ethics Committee for the International Panel on the Information Environment (IPIE) for the 2024/2025 term. Recuero is a distinguished academic with a Ph.D. in Communication and Information from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2006), and master's and bachelor's degrees in Communication and Journalism, as well as a law degree. She coordinates the MIDIARS research laboratory, focusing on Media, Discourse, and Social Network Analysis. Her extensive background includes serving as Vice-President of Compós (2021-2022) and an Open Seat on the Executive Board of the Association of Internet Researchers (2021-2023). Additionally, she is a member of the CNPq Communication Advisory Committee (2024-2027) and the advisory board for the Oxford Intersections book series by Oxford University Press.
