Antiochian Women of Saint George Engage in Seasonal Collections and Community Outreach in Coral Gables
The Antiochian Women of Saint George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral in Coral Gables, FL, are actively involved in various ministries, including seasonal collections. These collections are part of their broader efforts in prayer, philanthropy, and service within the parish and wider community. Their work encompasses hospitality, such as organizing Coffee Hour and feast-day meals, and practical care for parishioners through visitation and initiatives like Healing Hats knitting. The women also participate in specific seasonal events, including Christmas and Pascha bake sales, Thanksgiving collections, and the Annunciation fish dinner. Additionally, they prepare food for the Middle Eastern Festival and support College Outreach programs and the Angel Tree collection. All women of the parish are encouraged to contribute to these ongoing ministries or specific projects, with the church office facilitating connections for volunteers.
