Indianapolis City Councilor's Home Targeted in Shooting Over Datacenter Support
Indianapolis city councilor Ron Gibson's home was targeted in a shooting incident, with a note left behind suggesting the attack was due to his support for a datacenter project. The incident occurred early Monday morning when multiple gunshots were fired at Gibson's residence, where his eight-year-old son was present. A note reading 'No data centers' was found at the scene. The Indianapolis metropolitan police department has labeled the attack as an isolated, targeted incident, and the FBI is assisting in the investigation. Gibson had recently supported a $500 million datacenter project in the Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood, which he believes will bring significant investment and job opportunities to the area.
