Louisiana DWI Suspect Attacked by Alligator While Fleeing Police
A man identified as Victor Rivas, 40, was attacked by an alligator after attempting to evade police in Louisiana. The incident began when Rivas, suspected of driving while impaired, struck a concrete barrier and blew out a tire on his vehicle near New Orleans. After being pulled over by state troopers who observed signs of impairment, Rivas fled on foot, jumping into a swamp. During his escape, an alligator attacked him, causing injuries to both arms. Despite his injuries, Rivas continued to evade law enforcement until he was located using drone technology. He was apprehended and taken to a hospital for treatment before being booked on charges of driving while impaired and resisting an officer. Additional charges are pending related to the initial crash.
