CMA CGM Group Enhances Kenyan Logistics with New Framework Agreement
The CMA CGM Group has signed a significant framework agreement with Kenyan authorities to bolster the country's logistics and port capacities. This agreement, part of the Africa Forward Summit, was witnessed by the Presidents of France and Kenya, Emmanuel Macron and William Ruto. CMA CGM, a longstanding player in Kenya since 2005, aims to enhance supply chain flows in East and Central Africa by improving maritime demand, inland logistics, and freight management. The company is committed to a long-term strategy that includes securing port and inland capacities, developing regional hubs, integrating logistics solutions, and accelerating the decarbonization of transport chains. The Group is actively involved in operating and developing nine container terminals across Africa, with significant investments in Nigeria, Cameroon, and the Republic of Congo, among others.
