FBI Captures Most Wanted Fugitive KaShawn Roper in Florida, Ending Nationwide Search
KaShawn Nicola Roper, a Missouri woman recently added to the FBI's Top 10 Most Wanted Fugitive list, has been captured in northern Florida. Roper, 50, was wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of Jazmyn Henrion in Kansas City on August 23, 2020. The High Springs Police Department arrested Roper during a traffic stop on April 15, 2026, following a tip-off. Roper faced charges of second-degree murder, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon. A federal arrest warrant was issued in 2021 for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. The FBI had offered a $1 million reward for information leading to her arrest. Her capture was facilitated by a coordinated effort between local and federal law enforcement agencies.
