AppManagerNG Introduces Enhanced Android Package Management with Biometric Security and Advanced Features
AppManagerNG, a power-user Android package manager, has released new updates focusing on enhanced user experience and advanced security features. The application now includes a biometric gate for terminal access and backup deletion, leveraging static biometric methods for authentication. This update aims to provide a more secure and user-friendly experience for managing Android applications. The platform also introduces a 'Permission Inspector' to view and manage app permissions, an 'App Archiving' feature for Android 15+ to reclaim storage, and 'Routine ops' for scheduled tasks. Furthermore, AppManagerNG offers a 'Finder' for detailed app queries and 'Snapshot bundles' for portable, encrypted backups of app states. The project emphasizes transparency and security, with every release built twice for byte-identical verification and a CycloneDX SBOM included.
