Peruvian Soccer Stadium Incident Results in Fatality and Multiple Injuries During Fan Rally
In Lima, Peru, a tragic incident occurred at the Alejandro Villanueva Stadium where a fan rally led to the death of at least one person and injuries to 60 others. The event took place during a gathering of Alianza Lima fans in anticipation of a match against their rivals, Universitario. The Ministry of Health initially reported a wall collapse inside the stadium, but this was later denied by both the police and Alianza Lima. Videos from the scene showed a large crowd in the south stands, with fireworks and injured individuals visible. Emergency services, including police and fire brigades, were involved in rescuing trapped individuals and transporting the injured to hospitals.
