Virginia State Police Pursue Suspect After Richmond Chase Ends in Backyard
The Virginia State Police are actively searching for a suspect following a pursuit that concluded in a Richmond neighborhood. The incident began when a firearm was stolen from a vehicle belonging to a VSP special agent. The suspect, linked to an older-model Toyota Camry, has multiple warrants from various jurisdictions. The vehicle was spotted on Midlothian Turnpike, where a trooper attempted a traffic stop. Initially compliant, the driver fled, leading to a brief chase. The pursuit ended when the vehicle veered off the road, crossing a ditch and stopping in a neighbor's backyard. The suspect fled on foot and remains at large. The stolen firearm was recovered from the vehicle, and charges are pending against the unidentified suspect.
