Anthropic's AI Model Claude Mythos Uncovers Software Vulnerabilities, Raises Cybersecurity Concerns
Anthropic, a San Francisco-based AI startup, has developed a new artificial intelligence model named Claude Mythos, which has demonstrated a remarkable ability to identify software vulnerabilities. The model has uncovered thousands of weaknesses in widely used applications, many of which had gone unnoticed by their developers. Due to the potential risks associated with these findings, Anthropic has decided not to release the model to the public. Instead, they are collaborating with cybersecurity specialists and major tech companies like Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft to use the model as a defensive tool against hacking. This initiative, called 'Glasswing,' involves sharing the model with about 40 organizations to enhance cybersecurity measures.
