Memphis Police Investigate Discovery of Children's Remains in Woods
Authorities in Memphis, Tennessee, are investigating the discovery of the remains of three children, believed to be between the ages of 3 and 7, found in a wooded area. The remains, which may have been there for several years, were initially discovered when a skull was found by a person walking their dog on March 8. This discovery led to further searches, during which a K-9 cadaver dog helped locate additional remains, including another skull and 14 bones in a drainage system. The investigation involves about 170 personnel from various agencies, including the FBI, as they work to gather more evidence and identify the deceased. Memphis Police Chief Cerelyn 'CJ' Davis stated that the children were not reported missing in the Memphis area, and there is no active threat to the public.
