Natrona County Early Voting Surpasses Previous Years Ahead of Wyoming Primary
In-person early voting in Natrona County, Wyoming, for the upcoming August 18 primary election has exceeded previous years' numbers. As of Monday morning, 3,503 in-person early ballots had been counted, according to County Clerk Tracy Good. This figure surpasses the 2,097 in-person votes cast with two days remaining in the 2024 primary election. However, the current total is still below the 4,200 in-person votes recorded in the 2022 primary. Conversely, mail-in absentee voting has seen a decline, with 1,513 ballots returned so far, down from approximately 2,500 in 2024 and 2,600 in 2022. The early voting window, which was shortened from 45 days to 28 days following a 2023 state law change, is closing, with voters able to cast ballots until 5 p.m. today at the Natrona County Clerk’s Office.
