Heritage Family, the parent company of Davis Becker Funeral Home, recently hosted an inaugural community outreach event titled 'Dying to Know.' Held at Davis Becker Funeral Home, the event aimed to provide a supportive and educational environment for community members to discuss practical questions related to aging, caregiving, and end-of-life decisions. Over fifty attendees participated, engaging with 30 professionals from 20 partner organizations. These experts staffed tables offering information on various topics, including probate, estate planning, hospice care, senior care, grief support, veterans' honors, cemetery and monument planning, and funeral options. The evening concluded with a panel discussion and an audience Q&A session. The concept for 'Dying to Know' originated from the personal experiences of Funeral Directors Susan Pruden and Dawn Heldreth, who recognized the common challenges families face without clear guidance during end-of-life situations.
