Spring Storm to Bring Wind, Rain, and Snow to Truckee-Tahoe Region
A fast-moving spring storm is set to bring a mix of wind, rain, and snow to the Truckee-Tahoe region, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). A Lake Wind Advisory is in effect for Lake Tahoe through 2 p.m. Tuesday, with wind gusts expected to reach 35 to 45 mph. The storm will also bring a mix of rain, snow, graupel, and isolated thunderstorms through Thursday. Snow levels are forecast to drop as low as 5,000 feet by Wednesday, with brief strong thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. Primary hazards include lightning, small hail, and heavy downpours.
