Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, stated that he was unaware of these developments when asked by CNN's Manu Raju. This revelation comes amid broader discussions about the financial activities of Trump's ventures, with GOP lawmakers largely remaining silent on the issue. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit also upheld an injunction partially blocking a Texas law aimed at preventing minors from being exposed to harmful content, maintaining a previous decision against the SCOPE Act's requirements for digital service providers to adopt monitor-and-filter strategies.
