Christopher Kinahan Jr. Receives New Visa in Dubai Despite U.S. Sanctions
Christopher Kinahan Jr., a key figure in the Kinahan Organized Crime Group, has been issued a new visa in Dubai, according to a review of public immigration records by Bellingcat and The Sunday Times. This development comes despite Kinahan Jr. being a sanctioned individual with a $5 million reward offered by the U.S. government for information leading to his arrest. The Kinahan cartel, involved in drug trafficking, money laundering, and arms smuggling, has been linked to Iran's intelligence services and Hezbollah. The U.S. government sanctioned the cartel's senior leadership, including Christy Kinahan and his sons, in 2022. Despite these sanctions, the cartel's leaders continue to reside in Dubai, with some holding active residence permits.
