South African Royal Delegation Tours Magen David Adom, Highlighting Medical Innovation and Humanitarian Efforts
A delegation of a Queen and 10 Princesses and Princes from South African tribes recently visited Israel to tour the Magen David Adom (MDA) headquarters. This visit, initiated by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, follows a previous trip by King Dalindyebo of the AbaThembu Kingdom, who was introduced to MDA's capabilities. The delegation explored various aspects of MDA's operations, including the National Human Milk Bank, the Training and Simulation Center with augmented reality technologies, the National Emergency Dispatch Center, and the new underground National Blood Bank. They also observed specialized emergency vehicles and learned about the work of MDA's 35,000 volunteers and staff during routine periods, emergencies, and wartime.
