The Grand Theater in Wausau has initiated a $17 million renovation project aimed at modernizing the venue and improving accessibility. The project, known as the Second Century Project, includes updates such as new seating with improved ergonomics, additional restrooms, and expanded ADA-compliant pathways. The renovation will also replace outdated building systems and involve both interior and exterior restoration work, including a full roof replacement. The construction is expected to be completed by November 7, 2026, coinciding with the start of the theater's 2026-27 season.
