King Charles III and Queen Camilla Begin New York Visit with 9/11 Memorial Tribute
King Charles III and Queen Camilla commenced their visit to New York City by honoring the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks at the National 9/11 Memorial. The royal couple participated in a wreath-laying ceremony, marking the first visit to New York by a reigning British monarch since Queen Elizabeth II in 2010. The visit is part of a four-day trip to the United States, celebrating 250 years of American independence. During their time at the memorial, King Charles and Queen Camilla met with first responders and families of the victims. The visit included a meeting with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and other dignitaries. Queen Camilla is also scheduled to visit the New York Public Library, while King Charles will engage with urban farming initiatives and business leaders.
