Gillette Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Celebrates 90 Years of Family Ownership in Ohio
Gillette Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Warren, Ohio, celebrated its 90th anniversary, marking it as the oldest continuously family-owned and operated multi-generational care facility in the state. The event, coordinated by Community Liaison Angie Stulgis, highlighted the facility's long-standing commitment to compassionate care. The story began 90 years ago when Virgil and Emma Gillette, the great-grandparents of current owners Doug and Todd Stein, opened their farmhouse doors to neighbors in need after their barn burned down in the 1930s. Mildred Stein, the next generation, continued the operation, followed by Chuck Stein Jr. and Janet Stein. Brothers Doug and Todd Stein are now the fourth-generation owners.
