ECU Health and UnitedHealthcare Reach Agreement Restoring In-Network Access
ECU Health and UnitedHealthcare have reached a new multi-year contract agreement, restoring in-network access for over 100,000 patients in eastern North Carolina. The agreement, effective August 7, covers UnitedHealthcare commercial, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid plans. It ensures that UnitedHealthcare members have in-network access to all ECU Health providers, hospitals, clinics, and services. The contract includes reimbursement terms that better reflect the cost of care, reduce administrative burdens, and remove barriers to patient care. This agreement supports the long-term sustainability of healthcare services in the region.
